The Atlanta Falcons have signed free-agent cornerback Dunta Robinson, the Houston Texans' career interceptions leader, to a six-year, $57 million contract. The team confirmed the deal on Saturday. It was reported Friday that the Falcons and Robinson had agreed to terms. Robinson's signing is important because the Falcons finished 28th in the league against the pass last season. Falcons, WR Finneran agree to extension (AP)
The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to a contract extension with wide receiver Brian Finneran, who avoids free agency. The 34-year-old Finneran caught 11 passes for 111 yards in 10 games in 2009, his second season since missing the 2006-07 seasons with knee injuries. Finneran led the Falcons with 50 catches for 611 yards in 2005. [read full article]
